Kathy Duran

Kathy Duran is from Corona, California and has over 30 years of dance experience. She has trained in many styles of dance such as Modern, Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tumbling, Cheer, Acrobatics, Hip Hop, Musical Theater and Swing. Kathy graduated summa cum laude from CSU, Fullerton with her BA in Dance and had the privilege of working with artists and choreographers including Gladys Kares, Debra Noble, Viktor Kabaniev, Roxanne D’Orleans Juste, Risa Steinberg, Colin Connor, Marie de la Palme and many more. While receiving her education, Kathy was a part of CSUF’s Dance Repertoire Company and was chosen to perform at the prestigious Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Kathy was a member of BackhausDance from 2010-2015, with whom she danced, trained and performed both locally and internationally. Kathy received her Pilates Certification from Body Arts and Science International in 2014 and enjoys teaching Classical Pilates to dancers and people of all ages and levels. Kathy also maintains her career as a professional dancer, dancing and performing in her 13th season with Fuse Dance Company Inc, under the artistic direction of Joshua Estrada-Romero. With a passion for health and fitness, Kathy is currently working towards her Nutrition Certification, and enjoys running marathons in her spare time. Kathy is thrilled and grateful to have been a part of Dancecapade’s faculty since 2010. Ms. Kathy teaches ballet, jazz, tap, tumbling and Pilates.
