Clarissa Chun

Ms. Clarissa is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area and began dancing with Berle Davis and Jayne Zaban at Dance Arts Center and later attended Chapman University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in Dance with a minor in Japanese language. She is also an alumna of the School at Jacob’s Pillow inaugural tap program where she studied with Dianne Walker, Derick Grant, Ray Hesselink, Harold Cromer, Sarah Reich, and Tasha Lawson. Her choreography was featured in the critically acclaimed West Coast regional premiere of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson at San Jose Stage Company. Past Bay Area performing credits include Buffalo’ed (world prem.) Cabaret, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Chicago, The King and I, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Peter Pan. She was also a member of the tap company Tap Overload and performed their full length show Office Beat for two seasons at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. She has also performed in various shows and parades at the Disneyland Resort such as Mickey’s Soundsational Parade, A Christmas Fantasy Parade, Fantasmic!, and Paint the Night. Clarissa is also an accomplished stage manager, having worked with companies such as Ballet San Jose, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, and the Disneyland Resort. Ms. Clarissa teaches Tap at Dancecapade.
