Anne Elise Garrison is a dance instructor, choreographer, and visual artist based in Long Beach, CA. Originally from South Carolina, Anne Elise began her dance training at Augusta West Dance Studio before relocating to California to earn her undergraduate degree at Chapman University, completing a BFA in Dance Performance and a Minor in Nutrition. She has had the privilege to study under artists such as Wilson Mendieta, Steven Sofia, Jenny Backhaus and Will Johnston and to perform the works of choreographers such as Ido Tadmor, Kathryn McCormick, João Ducci, and Mara Hancock.  In addition to becoming a Sports Nutrition Coach through NASM, Anne Elise specializes in teaching Ballet, Jazz, and Modern-Contemporary styles and has the pleasure of working for Backhausdance as an Apprentice and Education Teaching Artist this season. Anne Elise teaches Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary at Dancecapade.
