Alessa’s dance journey began at the young age of 2 at Freddie Finn’s in Riverside. Alessa has had the opportunity to train with many studios and industry professionals around Southern California. She was a competitive dancer from age 4-18 where she won many high scoring awards and titles. Alessa also graduated from the Orange County High School of The Arts where she was part of the Commercial Dance program from 7th-12th grade. As a core member of Rithem Tap Company, her expertise lies in tap, however she is also classically trained in various styles such as ballet, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. She has had many professional opportunities from San Francisco Ballet, to industry music videos, to live performances with Debbie Allen, but she found her true passion to be teaching future generations to love dance and the arts. Her teaching career began at the age of 14. Alessa has had the opportunity to work for and assist in the management of several studios. As a competitive choreographer and coach, her routines and choreography has won many awards throughout the years. Alessa has been a member of the Dancecapade staff since 2010 where she teaches Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, and is a Competition Team Coach.
